I am Dr Cydd West, a tree in this Garden called Life. My ideas grow all about me, in my earth, my yard, my roofs, my trees, my walls, floor, and ceilings of my garden house. It changes when the wind blows. It changes when it rains. It changes when it snows. It changes when I don’t want it to. It changes when it’s nice out. It changes when it does. It grows and sows itself under; it’s dormant; it grows and grows and grows. Out of my ears, my nose, my eyes, and my head. From branches hang my fruit. Eat of it. Mind food. Fruit of the Freedom Tree. A garden grows where you plant it.

Encouraged by my landlords (Thistle Community Housing) on 23rd and Goss, I have decorated my garden, consistently keeping it changing weekly, subtle things moving around, completely changing on occasion. Outside has always been open to the public, who bring things by for me. If I can use the objects,
I do.

I have been a Reiki healer and master teacher for 15 years. I use my art as placebos for an inner healing to those who view it. It is meant to uplift the heart, to take you out of the moment, give you a new doorway of perception, to question your concepts.

I have had my art at the old Dot's Diner at 8th and Pearl in the mid-90's, Penny Lane from 1991-2005, and various coffee houses, currently at Folsom Street Coffee House at Canyon. A garden grows where you plant it.
